Avanza proceso de construcción de Centro de Resocialización al Adolescente Infractor

El alcalde Jesús María Botero se reunió con la directora del Instituto Nacional del Bienestar Familiar ICBF, Elvira Forero, a quien pidió que se agilice el proceso de construcción del Centro de Resocialización del Menor Infractor que quedará ubicado en el Salado y servirá para reemplazar el Politécnico Luís A. Rengifo.
En la foto el mandatario local acompañado de la Directora del Instituto Nacional del Bienestar Familiar ICBF, Elvira Forero y el gobernador Oscar Barreto.
Para esta obra el ICBF invertirá el 50 por ciento, la Alcaldía el 25 por ciento y la Gobernación el 25 por ciento.La alta funcionaria nacional expresó al mandatario que la obra se iniciará muy pronto para empezar a resocializar allí a los jóvenes que cometan delitos.

Alcalde participó en la apertura de Ibagué Maquila & Moda
El alcalde Jesús María Botero destacó el aporte que el sector textil-confecciones realiza al desarrollo de la ciudad durante la ceremonia de instalación de la Feria Ibagué Maquila & Moda que se cumplió en el centro de convenciones Alfonso López Pumarejo.
En su intervención, el mandatario local reiteró su compromiso para respaldar este tipo de iniciativas y dijo que de esta forma se consolida Ibagué como una ciudad de eventos y que reúne todas las condiciones para que nuevos inversionistas establezcan sus empresas.
El Alcalde recorrió cada uno de los stands de las compañías participantes de la Feria Ibagué Maquila&Moda que este año llega a su segunda versión.
Alcalde Botero fue entrevista por el humorista Peter Albeiro en la inauguración de Ibagué, Maquila y Moda.

Estudiantes del Leónidas Rubio, directivos y comunidad, agradecieron al Alcalde recuperación de vía
“Desde el año 94 estábamos pidiendo esta vía” Gustavo Ramírez, rector de la Institución educativa
El alcalde Jesús María Botero entregó oficialmente la vía de acceso al Leónidas Rubio que con una inversión de 176 millones de pesos fue recuperada con cambio de redes de alcantarillado y pavimentación.
El rector de la Institución Educativa Leónidas Rubio agradeció la obra que, según él, desde el año 1994 estaba en pésimas condiciones y no había recibido ninguna inversión.
“Usted desde hoy cuenta con todo el respaldo de la comunidad del Leónidas Rubio, con la comunidad en general de este sector porque no solo agradecemos esta obra sino todas las que a diario nos benefician, gracias Alcalde” manifestó Gustavo Ramírez, rector de la institución educativa. |

Alcalde Botero dentro de los buenos Alcaldes del país según la Revista Poder
La revista Poder en su edición 101 realizó la gran encuesta, con el Centro Nacional de Consultoría, sobre la gestión de Alcaldes de las 32 ciudades capitales y 32 Gobernadores del país y destaca la labor del alcalde Jesús María Botero.
En esta edición se da importancia a la gestión que el alcalde Botero, con un 58 por ciento, ha realizado promoviendo a Ibagué como un centro de inversión y de negocios, para lo cual ha estimulado exenciones a empresas que lleguen a la ciudad.
Así mismo dan importancia a la seguridad urbana, el ordenamiento del tránsito, la eficiencia en la prestación de los servicios públicos y el mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de los trabajadores informales que han sido también preocupaciones de la Administración Municipal. la Revista |

Alcalde dirige operativos en la “vuelta al chivo”
El alcalde Jesús María Botero estuvo al frente de los operativos realizados en la 19 con Primera, donde inicia la conocida “vuelta al chivo”, acompañado del comandante de la Policía José Javier Herrera Velandia, el secretario de Gobierno Eduar Amaya, el comandante del distrito Uno de Ibagué, Mayor Salas, entre otros miembros de la Policía.
En dicho sector allanaron 26 locales donde la Policía se incautó de celulares, espejos, contadores, frontales, básculas, entre otros elementos robados que estaban para la venta y detuvieron a un menor de edad que llevaba unas copas de carro al parecer robadas para que fueran comercializadas.
“Para mejorar la seguridad hay que tener mano fuerte y pantalones bien amarrados, yo dije que iba a estar al frente de la seguridad de la ciudad y así es, estoy personalmente verificando los operativos para garantizar la seguridad de mi ciudad” dijo el Alcalde. |

Avanza proceso de capacitación a abuelitos
Más de 120 abuelitos se han sumado al programa de capacitaciones en diversas áreas que ofrece la alcaldía de Ibagué en la Biblioteca Virtual, bajo la dirección de Fanny Sapuy, a todos aquellos adultos mayores de 60 años que quieran aprender sobre tecnologías de la información, reforzar la lectura y escritura, entre otros.
El alcalde Botero los saludó y felicitó por el esfuerzo y empeño que ponen a los procesos educativos.

Alcalde hizo saque de honor en el partido de las estrellas del futbol de los 80´s
Acompañando a Eladio Vásquez en su camino a lograr su sueño de tener su casa y como despedida de las estrellas del futbol de los años 80´s, estuvo el alcalde Jesús María Botero en el estadio Manuel Murillo Toro donde hizo el saque de honor del partido más esperado por los ibaguereños, el de la selección Colombia y el Deportes Tolima de esa época.
El mandatario local acompañado de su esposa, Silvia Ortiz, junto a Rene Higita y Eladio Vásquez.
En la cancha estuvieron Carlos ‘Pibe’ Valderrama, Willintong Ortiz, Adolfo ‘Tren’ Valencia, Iván René Valenciano, Higuita, Hernán Torres, Víctor Hugo del Río, Luis Ramírez, Gustavo ‘Piña’ Mendoza, entre otros, quienes conformaron la nómina de lujo y deleitaron a los asistentes en ese partido de despedida.
El mandatario local acompañado de el Carlos ‘Pibe’ Valderrama.
“Un hombre que se ha quedado en nuestra tierra y nos dio tantas alegrías, merece los mejore honores y por eso lo apoyamos y acompañamos” dijo el Alcalde.
